CenterStage Performing Arts Academy is proud to announce the launch of the CenterStage Young Professionals Dance Company (CSYP) — a pre-professional company under the direction of Ella Hunter.
This innovative program is designed for dedicated high school dancers (freshmen and up), alumni, and advanced community dancers who are ready to elevate their training and gain real-world rehearsal and performance experience.

The Mission
The CenterStage Young Professionals Dance Company bridges the gap between student and professional by simulating the structure, expectations, and artistic rigor of a working dance company. Through weekly classes, guest artist workshops, and the creation of a full-length narrative dance production, company dancers will gain valuable insight into the demands of the professional dance world.

Weekly Company Class & Rehearsal
Wednesdays, 8:00–9:30 PM
Occasional weekends scheduled for guest artists and extended rehearsals

Curriculum Highlights
Weekly technique class followed by choreography rehearsal
Guest artist workshops and masterclasses
Experience building a full-length narrative dance production from concept to stage

Final Showcase
The 2025–2026 season will culminate in a full-length, professionally-staged performance, giving dancers the opportunity to be a part of an artistic production from rehearsal to curtain call.
Performance Date: Sunday, May 3rd, 2026

Audition-Based Entry
Entry into the CenterStage Company is by audition only, maintaining the professionalism and artistic excellence of the program. This process teaches students the real-world skills of audition preparation, presentation, and professional etiquette.
Not all dancers will be accepted—an important and realistic learning experience in itself.
Auditions will be held on Saturday, July 26th. More detailed information coming soon.

Creative Growth

The company will explore mature artistic themes and movement, always with discretion and within the bounds of CenterStage’s standards. The goal is to expand dancers’ emotional range, musicality, and creative expression, preparing them for the nuanced material often encountered in professional careers.

Why CenterStage Young Professionals Dance Company?

This program offers something truly special:
A realistic look into the professional dance world
A chance to develop artistry, discipline, and confidence
A space for alumni and adult dancers seeking continued creative opportunities
A strong, supportive company culture that emphasizes teamwork, growth, and performance excellence

Be a part of something extraordinary. Step into the next level of your dance journey with CenterStage Young Professionals Dance Company.

What Our CS Family is Saying

"CenterStage is more than just a dance studio, it's a place where memories are made and people come together" - Brenna C., current CS student

"Centerstage Performing Arts has had a huge impact on my life! I have no idea where I would be without this place. Centerstage was something I looked forward to everyday while in high school. High School could be stressful some days, but being able to see friends and take classes instantly improved my mood. As a guy, you don’t see many other men in theatre/dance. Having other male students and teachers really encouraged me to try new things and really embrace the stage. Centerstage has also helped to prepare me for college. They have helped prepare me for auditions for shows and vocal lessons. I will always be thankful for the impact Centerstage Performing Arts has made on my life!" - Logan Purcell, CS Alumni

"THANK YOU for caring about about the WHOLE child, for costumes & choreography & music that are age appropriate...THANK YOU! For the self confidence I see you cultivating & nurturing in not only my child but so many others...THANK YOU! For the COURAGE to take on this task & follow your heart...THANK YOU! My daughter would not be where or who she is today without her CenterStage family. With every ounce of my soul, I THANK YOU!" - Jennifer Moore, CS Mom

"Thank you for creating a performing arts studio and not just another competitive dance studio.  I am grateful to be a part of a studio where all the girls are accepted and are offered many things to choose from, beyond dance so they can explore so many different avenues of the performing arts!  I so appreciate that when my daughter graduates she is going to take with her all the wonderful memories from class, the friendships she has made, and the life lessons she learned from you guys!" - Deanna Rice, CS Mom

"CenterStage is not a place. It's the people" - Christian Bare, Instructor and Director

"I cannot say enough positive things about Centerstage. The teachers, staff and kids are so kind, caring and encouraging to each other. The support is unbelievable! My daughter has made amazing friends at this studio, many of whom are much older than she is, but they have helped coach and encourage her along the way and she looks up to them so much. I greatly appreciate the modest recital costumes and clothing, they are very much age appropriate. Perhaps most of all however, is the dedication of the owners and teachers. They truly pour their heart and soul into this studio and the children that attend it." - Jessica Vaughn, CS Mom

"Thank you for giving me a new family and a new place to call home. I owe who I am today to the CS Family." - Christian Wilken, Instructor from Nebraska
