Photo and Recital Ad Info!
Important! Photo Week is DIFFERENT this year, so please read carefully.
CenterStage Dance, Vocal Performance, Acting and Improvisation, Aerial, Technical Production, and Creative Movement students will be taking their class group photos for our CS Yearbook (our free recital gift to students) this year with our very own Ms. Brendan Brassell from March 2nd–6th, 2026 in their recital costumes during regular class time!
Families wishing to do solo dance shots are welcome to use our other wonderful CS photographer, Ms. Crissy Danton, and schedule individual dance portraits with her directly! Private mini-sessions will be held here at CenterStage with all scheduling going through Ms. Crissy on select dates. During your private mini-session, the dancer and parent will have a chance to coordinate poses with Ms. Crissy. Payment is due ahead of time for these mini-sessions. If you would like two different costume looks, we suggest scheduling a mini-session, taking a short break, and then booking a second mini-session with her. For more than two costume looks, parents should reach out to Ms. Crissy directly to arrange a special extended session time.
Aerial apparatus photos (one apparatus per session) will be scheduled on Saturday February 28th only, with an aerial instructor on site to help with posing and safety.
All other mini-sessions with Ms. Crissy will begin Sunday March 1st.
Ms. Crissy is flexible on combinations of photo types (siblings, family, etc...) during your mini session. Please communicate with her directly on any questions you may have concerning what can realistically be photographed during your 15 minute session - [email protected]

Frequently Asked Questions
What are the photos for?
At the end of the year, CenterStage gifts each student a yearbook, and each yearbook includes a group class photo.
Can I take pictures of my student on the stage?
Unfortunately, no. To help keep Photo Week running on schedule, the only people allowed on stage will be the photographers, instructors, and students. Parents are welcome to photograph their student while they are waiting in their classroom.
Can I wait in the theatre while my student is being photographed?
No. We are requiring all parents to remain in the lobby, on the porch, or in their vehicles while students are being photographed. Many instructors will continue to have class or clean recital choreography before or after photos, and students will need to remain focused during that time. Parents of students who meet in Orange, Yellow, and Purple, these classrooms will be available to you while your student is on stage. Once they are finished being photographed, parents will need to vacate the classrooms so regular class can resume.
When will my student be finished taking photos?
Our photographers and stage management team have created a schedule for each hour, prioritizing younger students and those in one-hour classes. Our goal is for students to finish photos within their normal class time, but depending on class size and costume or shoe changes, we may run slightly over. If photos finish early, classes may return to their classrooms to finish their lessons for the day. Parents of students who meet in Orange, Yellow, and Purple, these classrooms will be available to you while your student is on stage. Once they are finished being photographed, parents will need to vacate the classrooms so regular class can resume.
What happens if my student finishes taking photos early?
Because recital is right around the corner, instructors may use time before or after photos to clean and polish recital choreography (while being careful not to disrupt costumes, hair, or makeup). To give instructors the flexibility they need, we ask that parents do not wait in the classrooms during Photo Week. I’d like to purchase an ad for my business or to celebrate my student in the yearbook. How do I do that?
This year, all ad confirmations must be emailed to CenterStage no later than March 15th. Our photographers will prioritize editing student photos so yearbooks can be sent to print by mid-April. Or, you may choose to send in any and all photos by mid-April!

Each year, CenterStage creates a special yearbook summarizing our unique and special year. We include group recital photos, program order, CS Chapter Honor Society Inductees, and photos from our SpringBoard shows and events like Spooktacular and Christmas Parade through the year! Many of our students have kept these yearbooks since their very first year of dance and they are so special to look back on!
They are one of our favorite things about recital season and our gift to the students! All 300 of our students receive one.
Many families choose to purchase an ad to celebrate their dancer. Many ads are gifts from families to their Senior students, but not all! Some families choose to celebrate a student's 1st, 5th, 10th, and 15th year of dance, advertise their businesses, or submit an ad to just remember this special season.
We'd love to celebrate your student with you! This year, we are asking that all families who are interested in submitting an ad to our 2024 yearbook email us at [email protected] by March 15th. We will design it for you! We just need to know what you would like to include! Many families choose to use photos from this year's recital portraits, and submitting ads by March 15th will help our photographers prioritize editing your photos!
All purchased ads go to helping us cover the cost of printing our yearbooks! Thank you for your consideration!
