Recital, Weecital, and Aerial 2024 Costumes

At CenterStage, we spend the fall measuring and selecting our costumes for our recitals in May of 2024! To ensure costumes arrive in time for pictures in the spring, they must be ordered in November of 2023.
To try and spread out the cost of costumes, we schedule a deposit of $50 per costume, due September 15th. The remainder of the costume balance will be posted October 1st and must be paid by November 3rd. Any costumes unpaid will not be ordered; students without costumes will not perform in the recital.
Costume prices vary from $50 - $125 per costume, this is due to the costume company's prices for tulle, sequins, rhinestones, glitter, lace, feathers, etc. All costumes include a pair of tights. The price of costumes have gone up with many costumes being priced over $125. Costume companies did not warn us of this increase. CenterStage guaranteed our families to stay within that $50 - $125 range this year. Instructors have worked very hard to keep costumes under $125.
CenterStage desires to make the costume process as stress free for our families as possible! CenterStage covers all costs to ship, exchange costumes that don't fit, alterations, and organizing.
Parents of male students! Don't see a costume for your son? Make sure to speak with his instructor. Many boys' costumes are similar to items they may already have at home or can purchase for much less. The costumes posted for our boys are unique costume items they can't get anywhere else!
Students in Tap 9, Advanced Clog, and Intermediate Clog, your instructors will be connecting with you regarding your costumes!
Additionally, we will also be ordering nude colored leotards for all of our female dancers in Level 1/K-2nd Grade classes and up. These leotards will go under the dance costume. It is the style and trend for many dance costumes to have mesh lining around the abdomen or back, and some that have no mesh at all. While we never select costumes that show the complete abdomen, we believe the nude colored leotard will help make our dancers feel comfortable to change from costume to costume and keep our beautiful performers feeling secure and covered on recital day. If your student still owns their nude leotard from last year, please let Ms. Brendan know so she can remove that charge from the account.
We strongly encourage all families to double check recital dates before committing to costume payments. We do not anticipate these dates changing, but depending on capacity, we may need to add additional shows to safely accommodate our patrons. We will have a firm decision on any additional shows in March of 2024. If you know your student will not be able to participate please email us immediately at info@performcenterstage.com so we don't bill you accidentally!
Right now, our recital dates are the following:
We are so grateful to be spending this year cultivating the love and technique of dance in your students lives. As we plan for our recital, it is truly a time of celebration for all they have learned and mastered!
