Recital, Weecital, and Aerial 2023 Costumes

PictureLeotard comes in two shades: caramel and toast. One leotard per student will be ordered - these are mandatory. $20.00
At CenterStage, we spend the fall measuring and selecting our costumes for our recitals in May of 2023! To ensure costumes arrive in time for pictures in the spring, they must be ordered in November of 2022.

To try and spread out the cost of costumes, we schedule a deposit of $50 per costume, due September 15th. The remainder of the costume balance will be posted October 1st and must be paid by November 4th. Any costumes unpaid will not be ordered; students without costumes will not perform in the recital.

Costume prices vary from $50 - $100 per costume, this is due to the costume company's prices for tulle, sequins, rhinestones, glitter, lace, feathers, etc. All costumes include a pair of tights. The price of costumes have gone up with many costumes being priced over $100. Costume companies did not warn us of this increase. CenterStage guaranteed our families to stay within that $50 - $100 range this year. Instructors have worked very hard to keep costumes under $100.

CenterStage desires to make the costume process as stress free for our families as possible! CenterStage covers all costs to ship, exchange costumes that don't fit, alterations, and organizing.

Parents of male students! Don't see a costume for your son? Make sure to speak with his instructor. Many boys' costumes are similar to items they may already have at home or can purchase for much less. The costumes posted for our boys are unique costume items they can't get anywhere else!

Additionally, we will also be ordering nude colored leotards for all of our female dancers in Level 1/K-2nd Grade classes and up. These leotards will go under the dance costume. It is the style and trend for many dance costumes to have mesh lining around the abdomen or back, and some that have no mesh at all. While we never select costumes that show the complete abdomen, we believe the nude colored leotard will help make our dancers feel comfortable to change from costume to costume and keep our beautiful performers feeling secure and covered on recital day. If your student still owns their nude leotard from last year, please let Miss Brendan know so she can remove that charge from the account.

We strongly encourage all families to double check recital dates before committing to costume payments. We do not anticipate these dates changing, but depending on capacity, we may need to add additional shows to safely accommodate our patrons. We will have a firm decision on any additional shows in March of 2023. If you know your student will not be able to participate please email us immediately at info@performcenterstage.com so we don't bill you accidentally!

Right now, our recital dates are the following:
  • May 6th, Acting and Improvisation, Vocal Performance, and Modern Dance and Choreography Student Choreography Showcase
  • May 12th and May 13th Aerial Showcases
  • May 20th, CenterStage Academy of Ballet featuring students in Ballet 4 - 10, all Pointe classes, Partnering and Features, Middle/High School Ballet, and Intermediate Middle/High School Ballet (Tech rehearsal May 20th)
  • May 20th, Weecital(s) featuring students in Level 1 - 3, K - 2nd Grade, and Pre School Hip Hop
  • May 26th and 27th Recital featuring students in Level 4, 5, 6 and Elementary (Rehearsal on May 22nd with Dance Awards)
  • May 25th and 27th Recital featuring students in Level 6 - 9, all Clog classes, Acrojazz, Worship Dance, Broadway, and all Middle/High School classes. (Rehearsal on May 23rd with Dance Awards)

We are so grateful to be spending this year cultivating the love and technique of dance in your students lives. As we plan for our recital, it is truly a time of celebration for all they have learned and mastered!

What Our CS Family is Saying

"Centerstage Performing Arts has had a huge impact on my life! I have no idea where I would be without this place. Centerstage was something I looked forward to everyday while in high school. High School could be stressful some days, but being able to see friends and take classes instantly improved my mood. As a guy, you don’t see many other men in theatre/dance. Having other male students and teachers really encouraged me to try new things and really embrace the stage. Centerstage has also helped to prepare me for college. They have helped prepare me for auditions for shows and vocal lessons. I will always be thankful for the impact Centerstage Performing Arts has made on my life!" - Logan Purcell, CS Alumni

"THANK YOU for caring about about the WHOLE child, for costumes & choreography & music that are age appropriate...THANK YOU! For the self confidence I see you cultivating & nurturing in not only my child but so many others...THANK YOU! For the COURAGE to take on this task & follow your heart...THANK YOU! My daughter would not be where or who she is today without her CenterStage family. With every ounce of my soul, I THANK YOU!" - Jennifer Moore, CS Mom

"Thank you for creating a performing arts studio and not just another competitive dance studio.  I am grateful to be a part of a studio where all the girls are accepted and are offered many things to choose from, beyond dance so they can explore so many different avenues of the performing arts!  I so appreciate that when my daughter graduates she is going to take with her all the wonderful memories from class, the friendships she has made, and the life lessons she learned from you guys!" - Deanna Rice, CS Mom

"CenterStage is not a place. It's the people" - Christian Bare, Instructor and Director

"I cannot say enough positive things about Centerstage. The teachers, staff and kids are so kind, caring and encouraging to each other. The support is unbelievable! My daughter has made amazing friends at this studio, many of whom are much older than she is, but they have helped coach and encourage her along the way and she looks up to them so much. I greatly appreciate the modest recital costumes and clothing, they are very much age appropriate. Perhaps most of all however, is the dedication of the owners and teachers. They truly pour their heart and soul into this studio and the children that attend it." - Jessica Vaughn, CS Mom

"Thank you for giving me a new family and a new place to call home. I owe who I am today to the CS Family." - Christian Wilken, Instructor from Nebraska
